Department/Unit SummaryJoin our team in a 32‑bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) located on the 1st floor, staffed with RNs and CNAs. Our ICU operates with a 1:2 nurse‑to‑patient ratio and manages a diverse range of diagnoses including respiratory failure, cardio‑pulmonary disease, sepsis, and diabetic keto acidosis (DKA). We are expanding our cardiac service line to offer more comprehensive care to the community.
ResponsibilitiesThe Director (RN) will:
- Oversee the development and implementation of departmental goals and standards aligned with organizational, clinical, legal, and ethical objectives.
- Direct and evaluate operations—including patient care, technology, service levels, and complaints—to ensure quality and performance.
- Manage staffing activities such as hiring, training, evaluation, and professional development, while also overseeing budgets and ensuring compliance with financial and audit requirements.
- Promote a culture of professional growth, integrate evidence‑based practices, and monitor ICU metrics to drive continuous improvement.

- Current state RN license and an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Previous leadership experience required.
- ICU experience required.
- Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS required.
- Handle‑with‑Care Training required within 90 days of employment.
