Hours:
36 hrs/week - Charting: Meditech
- Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Direct Patient Care: ~20–22 hrs/week. Provide care for Medical‑Surgical, Telemetry, Orthopedic, and Oncology patients.
- Telemetry Monitoring: ~4–5 hrs/week. Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient status, and communicate findings to providers.
- Medication & Treatment Administration: ~4–5 hrs/week. Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products (if applicable), and perform patient treatments.
- Patient Assessment & Care Planning: ~3–4 hrs/week. Complete comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, and monitor patient progress.
- Documentation & Care Coordination: ~3–4 hrs/week. Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Active RN License
- BLS Required
- 2+ Years Acute Care Experience
- Med‑Surg and Telemetry experience preferred
- Ortho/Oncology/Med‑Surg Telemetry Unit
- 1:6 nurse‑to‑patient ratio
- No call requirement
- Every other weekend required
- Floating to other Med‑Surg units as needed
- Meditech EMR
- Orthopedic Surgical Patients
- Oncology Patients
- General Medical‑Surgical Patients
- Telemetry/Cardiac Monitoring Patients
- Adult and Geriatric Population
RN with strong Med‑Surg and Telemetry experience, excellent time‑management skills, and the ability to manage a 1:6 patient assignment. Candidates should be flexible with floating, comfortable caring for orthopedic and oncology patients, and able to work effectively in a fast‑paced acute care environment.
