Registered Nurse MICU

Responsibilities

• Perform and document patient assessments at the time of admission.
• Assess and monitor changes in the patient’s behavioral and physiological status.
• Utilize professional skills and judgment in delivering and/or delegating care for patients.
• Assist with unit employee process activities, including orientation and professional development.
• Direct, monitor, and evaluate the care delegated to non‑licensed personnel on the team.
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope and practice of licensure.

• Experience: 1 year as a Registered Nurse (RN); 2+ years in Medical Surgical, Telemetry, or critical care (preferred).
• Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program or RN Diploma;
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

  Current State of Texas RN license or Compact RN license (Texas license required within 90 days of hire);
  Basic Life Support (BLS) required;
  Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required;
  Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification preferred.
