Must Have
  • NM RN License.
  • Associate's degree in Nursing.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • ACLS, PALS and TNCC are required within six months of hire.
Nice to Have
  • 1 year of Med Surg experience.
Responsibilities
1. Patient Assessment & Monitoring
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments (physical, emotional, and mental)
  • Monitor vital signs and recognize changes in patient condition
  • Assess pain levels and manage accordingly
  • Identify complications early and report to physicians
2. Medication Administration
  • Administer medications (oral, IV, injections) safely and accurately
  • Monitor for side effects and adverse reactions
  • Educate patients about medications and treatments
3. Patient Care & Treatment
  • Provide wound care, dressing changes, and post-operative care
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing and mobility
  • Manage IV lines, catheters, drains, and feeding tubes
  • Prepare patients for surgeries and procedures
4. Documentation & Charting
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records
  • Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes
  • Use electronic health record (EHR) systems
5. Collaboration with Healthcare Team
  • Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other nurses
  • Participate in care planning and patient rounds
  • Coordinate discharge planning and follow-up care
6. Patient & Family Education
  • Educate patients on disease processes and recovery
  • Provide discharge instructions and home care guidance
  • Promote health and wellness practices
7. Emergency Response
  • Recognize and respond to emergencies (e.g., cardiac arrest, respiratory distress)
  • Perform basic life support (BLS) or advanced interventions if trained
8. Safety & Compliance
  • Follow infection control protocols
  • Ensure patient safety and prevent falls or complications
  • Adhere to hospital policies, standards, and ethical guidelines
