Founded in 2016 by a small group of neonatologists serving a single hospital’s NICU, it has grown to operate in multiple states with more than 100 board‑certified neonatologists, OB hospitalists, and pediatric specialists on its team. It combines a national infrastructure with local support, using its breadth and depth of clinical and operational resources to allow physicians to focus their time on delivering care.
PositionDescription
The role is employed by a private group and is based in a medical center in Las Cruces. The hospital is a Level 3 Trauma Center, equipped with the latest technology and resources, and operates a Level 3 NICU with 15 licensed beds and an average of 90 to 110 deliveries per month. The schedule is coordinated collaboratively among all the providers, with the option to bundle shifts.
Responsibilities- Delivery attendance
- Day‑to‑day management of the NICU
- Participate in multi‑disciplinary rounds
- Provide collaborative, team‑based care of NICU patients
- Ventilator management
- Nutrition management
- Lab review
- Meeting with families
- Newborn nursery coverage
- New Mexico nurse practitioner license
- Neonatal nurse practitioner certification (NNP)
- At least 1 year of advanced practice experience
- Hospitalist experience preferred
