Position Overview

An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse to join a medical-surgical unit focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. This role involves working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to support patients throughout their hospital stay, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate treatment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a medical-surgical environment

Conduct patient assessments and monitor changes in condition

Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established care plans

Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to support optimal outcomes

Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Adhere to established safety protocols and quality standards

Work Environment

Inpatient medical-surgical setting

Collaborative team structure including RNs, LPNs, and support staff

Structured onboarding process with required certifications completed within six months

Required Qualifications

Active RN license in the state of New Mexico

Associate’s Degree in Nursing

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Additional Certification Requirements (within 6 months of hire)

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Preferred Qualifications

At least 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience
Minimum of 1 year of general nursing experience

Key Skills Required

Patient assessment and clinical judgment

Care coordination and teamwork

Medication administration and safety compliance

Effective communication and patient education
