Charge Nurse

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse with dialysis experience and strong clinical leadership skills? We’re seeking an RN Charge Nurse to oversee nursing services during each shift and serve as a key clinical resource for the care team.

• Oversee nursing services and provide daily supervision of staff on duty
• Support clinical and operational processes designed to improve patient outcomes and reduce hospitalizations and missed treatments
• Administer medications as ordered and complete monthly medication profile reviews
• Assist physicians during patient rounds and ensure orders are implemented promptly
• Support anemia management and medication protocols
• Provide safe, efficient dialysis care when permitted by state regulations
• Respond to emergencies within the clinic
• Monitor and communicate patient assessments, reassessments, and changes in condition
• Collaborate closely with the Medical Director, physicians, and interdisciplinary care team
• Participate in patient assessments and care planning
• Help orient new staff and serve as a preceptor or assist with preceptor assignments
• Serve as a clinical resource and help implement, evaluate, and maintain dialysis policies and procedures
• Assist the Administrator with interviewing, hiring, staff evaluations, and disciplinary actions

• Current, active RN license in New Mexico and in good standing
• At least 12 months of nursing care experience
• At least 3 months of experience providing nursing care to maintenance dialysis patients
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment in emergency and rapidly changing situations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Basic computer skills; proficiency in required clinical applications within 90 days of hire
• Ability to distinguish all primary colors
• Must meet applicable New Mexico practice requirements
