- Call: Shared among OR RNs, averaging about 7 calls in a 6-week period; weekday and weekend call coverage required
- Floating: No floating required
- Active RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience
- BLS required
- ACLS preferred
- Experience with General Surgery, Orthopedics, OB/GYN, Robotics, Urology, Hand, and Podiatry cases
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, intraoperative workflow, and patient advocacy
- Ability to adapt quickly in a busy surgical setting
- Fingerprinting required for New Mexico travel nursing assignments
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care throughout the intraoperative phase
- Serve as the circulating nurse to promote patient safety and support the sterile field
- Coordinate workflow and communication among surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and nursing team members
- Prepare operating rooms, manage equipment and supplies, and anticipate procedural needs
- Document accurately and maintain compliance with clinical and regulatory standards
- Assist with specimen handling, medication administration, and case coordination
- Advocate for patients and respond effectively to changing surgical conditions
- Support efficient, high-quality surgical care across a diverse case mix
