Summary
Responsible for verifying the quality and safety of incoming raw materials and outgoing finished goods. This role includes reviewing documentation such as Certificates of Analysis (COAs), conducting in-production checks, and performing pre-operational inspections to ensure facility sanitation and equipment readiness.
Position Responsibilities- Inbound & Outbound Inspection:
Inspect all incoming and outgoing loads for defects, damage, and compliance with specifications. - COA Review:
Verify Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and other shipping documents for accuracy and conformance. - Corrective Actions:
Report quality issues and non-conformances immediately; recommend and document corrective actions before products are released for shipping. - In-Production Monitoring:
Review batch documentation and production logs in real-time to ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). - Sampling & Testing:
Help collect representative samples for laboratory analysis, sensory evaluation, and microbiological testing. - Equipment Calibration:
Perform daily calibrations on essential equipment such as scales, thermometers, ATP machines, etc. - Other job duties as assigned
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills for reporting defects, and the ability to work in fast-paced or temperature-controlled environments.
- GMP and Food Safety Proficiency required
- Prior experience in food manufacturing or quality control (e.g., knowledge of HACCP, SQF, or FDA/USDA regulations) is highly valued.
- SAP experience highly preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
- Must be a self-starter, able to complete work accurately with minimal supervision
- Ability to achieve multiple objectives in an environment of changing priorities, high pressure and fast pace
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) for data entry and report generation.
- Ensure Food Safety, Legality and Quality of all products
