CDL Delivery Expeditor

** Responsibilities:*
* + Lead by example through Virgin Galactic's values, with respect to our straight-up way which fosters, transparent, and open communication.

+ Operate company owned and leased vehicles and equipment to include pick-up trucks, forklifts, man lifts, tractors, & semi-tractor trailer combinations.

+ Perform freight and small parcel transportation between company facilities and regional suppliers.

+ Load materials, parts, & tools onto or into vehicles and/or trailers and properly secure with strapping, bracing, and padding to prevent shifting or damage during transit.

+ Complete associated paperwork such as daily vehicle inspection reports, load manifests, receipt travellers and receipts.

+ Facilitate and expedite the flow of time-sensitive materials to specified production areas within our facilities.

+ Adhere to all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and industry best practices for commercial vehicle operation.

+ A positive and infectious attitude is a must.

+ Lead by example, setting high standards for work ethic, professionalism, and integrity

+ Maintain focus on timeliness and execution of tasks and deliverables every day.

+ Adhere to set directions and guidelines from team leader to support collaboration across teams to complete projects.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

** Required Skills and Experience*
* + Current valid CA CDL driver license with medical certification. Hazmat endorsements is a plus.

+ 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.

+ Must be service oriented and maintain a professional approach when dealing with business partners, customers, and clients.

+ Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

+ Able to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-based manufacturing environment

+ The ability to lift heavy objects up to 75 pounds.

+ Basic computer skills.

+ Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.

+ Displays sound judgment, with the ability to make accurate and timely decisions.

+ Must possess strong motivational, organizational, interpersonal skills.

+ Strong safety forward thinking, practice good housekeeping, tool control, recognizing the importance of properly handling hazardous materials and chemicals.

+ Familiar with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Demonstrate willingness to adjust thinking and behavior.

+ Ability to communicate in a manner that is timely, respectful, and open to other ideas

** Physical and/or Additional Requirements*
* + Must be able to work all shifts and available for overtime as well as weekends when needed.

+ Must be able to travel and/or be on call as needed.

+ Must be able to stand for extended periods - 8 hours min.

+ Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and being able to maneuver in tight spaces- 3+ hours min.

+ Physically able to handle items weighing up to 75 lbs (unassisted).

+ Working outdoors through all seasons

+ Work is completed within a manufacturing environment.
