Responsibilities
- Manage the weekly payroll process and maintain payroll data accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal payroll regulations, including tax filings.
- Calculate and report tax liabilities accurately each week.
- Address and resolve employee payroll concerns.
- Prepare annual W-2 forms and complete state-required reconciliations.
- Report daily activities and issues to the department head.
- Support the annual company audit.
- 3-5 years’ experience as a payroll specialist
- Associate degree in Accounting/Payroll certification and/or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in a payroll position in a fast‑paced environment required.
- Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws.
- Good understanding of the common fiscal procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications.
- Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills.
- Able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Strong math skills with an ability to spot numerical errors.
- Reliable & trustworthy with attention to details and confidentiality.
- Knowledge of TMW software is a plus.
Hours:
Monday to Friday 8 am to 4 pm
