The General Ledger Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing account reconciliations, and supporting the monthly close process. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with GAAP standards while contributing to the company’s growth by streamlining processes and achieving key organizational KPIs.

• Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations to assist with monthly close processes.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Meet all processing and reporting deadlines, ensuring 95% reporting accuracy.
• Respond to information requests, review financial results, and assist with audits.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Assist the Accounting Manager with day‑to‑day operations and special projects.
• Maintain and scale accounting processes to support continued company growth.
• Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and complete all tasks within agreed‑upon time frames.
• Collaborate with team members to uphold Goettl’s standards of quality and efficiency.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• Strong understanding of GAAP and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with accounting software and tools is a plus.
• Able to sufficiently pass a drug screen and background check upon offer of employment.
