Staff Accountant

In this role, you’ll manage complex daily revenue reconciliations, handle month‑end close procedures, and work directly with senior accounting leadership. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required. Enjoy great benefits, a matched 401(k), and a fantastic corporate team culture.

• Month-End Close: Assist the accounting team with the execution of the monthly and year-end financial close process, including journal entry preparation, account accruals, and balance sheet/bank account reconciliations.
• Daily Revenue Reconciliation: Review and reconcile daily gaming revenue streams (including Simulcast, Historical Horse Racing (HHR), and Kiosk/ATM cash activity) against tote systems and internal Cage deposits.
• Operational Auditing: Reconcile Food & Beverage point-of-sale (POS) revenue to the Cage daily, investigating variances and issuing cashier over/short reports.
• Tax & Licensing Compliance: Assist in the preparation and accurate filing of monthly/annual local and state operational tax returns (including sales tax, liquor tax) and regulatory licensing renewals (alcohol, business, and unclaimed Pari-Mutuel ticket remittances).
• Transactional Maintenance: Enter all vendor invoices into the Accounts Payable module daily. Log miscellaneous checks, deposits, bank transfers, and tax payments into the Sage Accounting system.
• Collaboration: Maintain professional, trusting, and positive working relationships with property managers, cashiers, supervisors, and external vendors to quickly resolve audit or invoice discrepancies.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a gaming or hospitality environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related field).
• Proficiency with Sage Accounting and accounts payable processes.
• Experience with revenue reconciliation, month‑end close, and tax filings (sales, liquor, parimutuel).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Salary: $52,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

Shift: First.

Work hours:

8 AM – 4 PM.
