Are you an accounting professional looking to skip the boring corporate desk job and step into the exciting world of gaming and hospitality? Randstad is actively recruiting an on‑site Staff Accountant ($52k–$60k/yr) for our client’s corporate office in Las Vegas.
In this role, you’ll manage complex daily revenue reconciliations, handle month‑end close procedures, and work directly with senior accounting leadership. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required. Enjoy great benefits, a matched 401(k), and a fantastic corporate team culture.
Responsibilities- Month-End Close: Assist the accounting team with the execution of the monthly and year-end financial close process, including journal entry preparation, account accruals, and balance sheet/bank account reconciliations.
- Daily Revenue Reconciliation: Review and reconcile daily gaming revenue streams (including Simulcast, Historical Horse Racing (HHR), and Kiosk/ATM cash activity) against tote systems and internal Cage deposits.
- Operational Auditing: Reconcile Food & Beverage point-of-sale (POS) revenue to the Cage daily, investigating variances and issuing cashier over/short reports.
- Tax & Licensing Compliance: Assist in the preparation and accurate filing of monthly/annual local and state operational tax returns (including sales tax, liquor tax) and regulatory licensing renewals (alcohol, business, and unclaimed Pari-Mutuel ticket remittances).
- Transactional Maintenance: Enter all vendor invoices into the Accounts Payable module daily. Log miscellaneous checks, deposits, bank transfers, and tax payments into the Sage Accounting system.
- Collaboration: Maintain professional, trusting, and positive working relationships with property managers, cashiers, supervisors, and external vendors to quickly resolve audit or invoice discrepancies.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a gaming or hospitality environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related field).
- Proficiency with Sage Accounting and accounts payable processes.
- Experience with revenue reconciliation, month‑end close, and tax filings (sales, liquor, parimutuel).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Salary: $52,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
Shift: First.
Work hours:
8 AM – 4 PM.
