About Noovo
Noovo is a fast-growing premium camper van manufacturer creating high‑end Class B adventure vehicles designed for comfort, craftsmanship, and life on the road. The company offers premium camper van conversions in the U.S. and focuses on modern design, comfort, safety, and custom‑built vehicles for customers who want the freedom of the open road without sacrificing quality or livability. As Noovo continues to scale production, expand its product lineup, and mature its manufacturing operations, the company is strengthening its cost accounting and ERP discipline to support better visibility into product margins, production costs, inventory, and operational performance.
Noovo’s environment is entrepreneurial, hands‑on, and fast‑moving — ideal for someone who enjoys working close to the plant floor while helping build scalable financial and operational processes.
Noovo is seeking a hands‑on Cost Accountant to support manufacturing cost accounting, standard cost maintenance, inventory accuracy, production variance analysis, and ERP costing discipline. This is not a traditional corporate accounting or controller role. The right candidate will spend meaningful time on‑site with production, purchasing, inventory, and operations teams to understand how vehicles are actually built, how materials and labor flow through the production process, and how those activities should be reflected in the ERP and cost accounting records.
The Cost Accountant will serve as a bridge between the day‑to‑day production environment and the financial cost calculations in the ERP system. This person will help ensure that bills of materials, labor assumptions, standard costs, inventory movements, WIP, and finished goods costs accurately reflect operational reality. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail‑oriented, operationally curious, and comfortable working in a growing manufacturing business where processes are still evolving.
They should be well‑versed in standard costing and cost accounting methodologies, while also being willing to walk the plant floor, ask questions, validate data, and partner with production teams to improve accuracy.
- Maintain and support standard costs for materials, labor, overhead, and finished goods.
- Partner with production, purchasing, engineering, and operations teams to ensure product costs reflect actual manufacturing processes.
- Review and analyze bills of materials, routings, labor assumptions, overhead rates, and cost rollups.
- Support periodic standard cost updates and analyze the financial impact of cost changes.
- Identify gaps between ERP cost assumptions and actual production‑floor activity.
- Help improve the accuracy of vehicle‑level and product‑line profitability reporting.
- Analyze manufacturing variances, including material usage, purchase price, labor efficiency, labor rate, overhead, scrap, and rework.
- Investigate significant variances by working directly with plant operations and production leaders.
- Translate production activity into clear financial insights for management.
- Help identify root causes of cost variances and recommend process or data improvements.
- Support margin analysis by vehicle model, build type, option package, or production category.
- Support accurate inventory valuation, WIP tracking, and finished goods costing.
- Reconcile inventory activity between physical movement, ERP records, and accounting records.
- Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory counts, and variance resolution.
- Monitor inventory adjustments, scrap, obsolete inventory, and cost accuracy.
- Help ensure inventory transactions are recorded timely and correctly in the ERP.
- Partner with warehouse, purchasing, and production teams to improve inventory discipline.
- Serve as a key finance partner for ERP costing accuracy.
- Review production transactions, inventory movements, job costing data, BOMs, routings, and work‑order activity for completeness and accuracy.
- Help ensure production‑line activity is properly captured in the ERP system.
- Identify ERP process gaps that create inaccurate cost, WIP, inventory, or margin reporting.
- Work cross‑functionally to improve ERP workflows…
