Accountant, Financial Reporting, Financial Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to support the accounting and financial reporting functions for a diversified real estate investment and development portfolio. This role will assist with month-end close, financial reporting, accounts payable, construction draw administration, account reconciliations, and project accounting across multiple entities and development projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced real estate investment and development environment.

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Manage accounts payable processing, including vendor invoices, subcontractor billings, payment runs, and maintenance of supporting documentation.
• Coordinate monthly construction draw requests, track project costs, compile supporting documentation, and work with lenders, contractors, and project managers to ensure timely funding.
• Track project costs, budgets, commitments, and capital expenditures for development projects.
• Maintain general ledger activity and intercompany transactions across multiple entities.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with cash management and reporting.
• Support annual audits, tax preparation, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with development, property management, asset management, and executive teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate, construction, property management, or public accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software;
  Yardi, MRI, Sage Intacct, Net Suite, or similar systems preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
