Financial Analyst

The role involves compiling financial data to prepare accurate financial statements for a designated club within the Travel Leisure group. Responsibilities include posting journal entries, managing payables, conducting bank and billing reconciliations, analyzing accounts, preparing audit schedules, and generating budget reports. This position supports operational leaders in maintaining the financial well-being of the clubs.

• Post journal entries to maintain an accurate general ledger.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts following departmental guidelines.
• Manage wire transfers for club transactions.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for corporate receivables and payables.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and reports.
• Support financial audit preparations and coordination.
• Contribute to budget report creation and annual budget preparation.
• Monitor banking activities to ensure fund availability for transactions.
• Help achieve annual departmental objectives.
• Develop and improve departmental processes by identifying constraints.
• Participate in planning and overseeing departmental events.
• Support peers and management in understanding the timeshare industry and developing junior accountants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Strong strategic, analytical, and creative thinking skills in both independent and team settings.
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP accounting.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work under pressure with effective communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access.
• Experience with EPM software;
  Oracle Fusion experience is a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience in general ledger management, month-end closing, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Preferable experience in the timeshare sector.
