Sr. Accountant

Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to support general ledger accounting, month-end close, account reconciliations, and daily financial operations. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring the integrity of financial data, and supporting the accounting team in a fast-paced gaming environment.

The ideal Senior Accountant will have strong general ledger experience, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. The Senior Accountant will work closely with accounting leadership and assist with maintaining accurate financial reporting and accounting processes.

Responsibilities

+ Prepare and post journal entries

+ Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations

+ Record wire transfers and daily banking activity

+ Assist with month-end close procedures

+ Prepare supporting schedules and account analyses

+ Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances

+ Distribute monthly financial reports to department leaders

+ Support internal and external audit requests

+ Assist with process improvements and other accounting projects as assigned

Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

+ Previous General Ledger accounting experience required

+ Strong understanding of reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes

+ Experience working with high-volume financial transactions

+ Advanced attention to detail and organizational skills

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications

+ Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
