Senior Accountant
4 Corner Resources is hiring a Senior Accountant for a national hospitality and vacation ownership organization. This role owns the compilation of financial information that drives accurate financial statements for an assigned club property, giving you direct visibility with operational leadership and ownership of a full close cycle rather than a narrow slice of it.
Responsibilities:- Prepare journal entries and post to the general ledger to support an accurate close
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts in accordance with departmental policy
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of corporate related-party receivables and payables
- Process payables including checks and wire transfers, and facilitate wire transfers tied to club receivables and payables
- Monitor banking activity to confirm funds are available to clear wires and checks
- Complete bank reconciliations, billing reconciliations, and account analysis
- Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and the reporting package
- Prepare audit schedules and support coordination of financial audits
- Assist with budget reporting, annual budget preparation, and statistical accumulation
- Develop process flows, identify process constraints, and implement improvements within the department
- Support peers and lower-level accountants in building industry and technical knowledge
- Participate in planning or oversight of departmental and hospitality staff events as needed
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 3 to 5 years of experience working within a general ledger, supporting month-end close and reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Advanced working knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with EPM software
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills in both independent and team settings
- Self-starter who is well organized, communicates effectively, and performs well under deadline pressure
- Oracle Fusion experience
- Timeshare or vacation ownership industry experience
- Experience mentoring or developing junior accounting staff
- Pay Rate: $46 to $50 per hour
