Sr. Accountant

Description

A well-established real estate investment and property management organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant who enjoys hands-on accounting responsibilities while contributing to business operations, process improvements, and special projects. The ideal Senior Accountant will bring a strong accounting foundation, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to solve problems independently.

This role offers exposure to property accounting, development projects, financial reporting support, loan draws, and process improvement initiatives. Candidates with Real Estate Development and Yardi Voyager system experience are encouraged to apply. Given the immediate need for a contraact accountant, Yardi is not rquired, but highly preferred. Candidates with prior real eastae eveopment and / or Construction experienced are highly desired.

Senior Accountants responsibilities:

+ Perform month-end close activities, reconciliations, and account analysis

+ Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

+ Review and analyze financial information received from third-party property management companies

+ Coordinate construction loan draws and related documentation

+ Process and track lien releases for development projects

+ Assist with financial reporting and operational accounting activities

+ Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiencies

+ Support system enhancement initiatives and accounting workflow improvements

+ Collaborate with accounting leadership on special projects and portfolio-related activities

The successful Senior Accountant will be proactive, highly organized, and comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities. This is an onsite, contract to possible permanent opportunity, located in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred

+ 10+ years of accounting experience

+ Real estate, property management, development, or construction industry experience is highly preferred

+

Experience with Yardi is highly peferred, not required

+ Strong understanding of reconciliations, financial statements, lien releases & loan draws, month-end close and operational accounting

+ Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment

+ Proven problem-solving skills and attention to detail

+ Strong communication and organizational abilities
