Senior Accountant

A well-established real estate investment and property management organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant who enjoys hands-on accounting responsibilities while contributing to business operations, process improvements, and special projects. The ideal Senior Accountant will bring a strong accounting foundation, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to solve problems independently.

This role offers exposure to property accounting, development projects, financial reporting support, loan draws, and process improvement initiatives. Candidates with Real Estate Development and Yardi Voyager system experience are encouraged to apply. Given the immediate need for a contract accountant, Yardi is not required, but highly preferred. Candidates with prior real estate development and/or construction experience are highly desired.

Senior Accountant responsibilities:

• Perform month-end close activities, reconciliations, and account analysis
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Review and analyze financial information received from third-party property management companies
• Coordinate construction loan draws and related documentation
• Process and track lien releases for development projects
• Assist with financial reporting and operational accounting activities
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiencies
• Support system enhancement initiatives and accounting workflow improvements
• Collaborate with accounting leadership on special projects and portfolio-related activities

The successful Senior Accountant will be proactive, highly organized, and comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities. This is an onsite, contract to possible permanent opportunity, located in Las Vegas, Nevada.
