The Payroll Manager will lead accurate, timely, and compliant payroll operations for IGT and its subsidiary entities. This role oversees payroll processing, controls, reporting, and process improvement while partnering closely with People & Culture, Finance, Accounting, Benefits, employees, and external payroll providers.
The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience in a complex payroll environment, hands‑on expertise with ADP and SAP Success Factors, and the ability to manage payroll across multiple entities, states, and jurisdictions. Experience supporting Canada and Latin America payroll operations is a plus.
What You'll Do- Lead end-to-end payroll operations for IGT and its subsidiary entities, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing.
- Oversee biweekly payroll activities, including timecard review, payroll calculations, pay differentials, deductions, taxes, adjustments, and control records.
- Audit employee and payroll data in ADP and SAP Success Factors, including new hires, compensation changes, job classifications, employee changes, and terminations.
- Review payroll calculations and reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
- Partner with People & Culture, Finance, Accounting, Benefits, and other teams to maintain accurate payroll data and smooth processing.
- Support domestic and international payroll activities, coordinating with internal stakeholders and payroll vendors as needed.
- Ensure compliance with payroll laws, wage-and-hour requirements, company policies, internal controls, SOX requirements, and applicable government regulations.
- Coordinate year-end and periodic payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and distribution and other required tax reporting.
- Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, expenditure records, analyses, and status updates for leadership.
- Develop and maintain payroll procedures, controls, documentation, and performance measures.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll accuracy, strengthen controls, and create more efficient processes.
- Manage relationships with domestic and international payroll providers to ensure service expectations and processing requirements are met.
- Respond to employee and leadership payroll questions with professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Lead, coach, develop, and manage payroll team members, including performance management, training, scheduling, and career development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
- Progressive payroll experience, including experience leading payroll operations and supervising payroll professionals.
