Administrative Assistant II – Financial Aid
Under direct supervision, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Engaging with the community to provide financial aid and general college information to prospective, returning students and/or parents regarding the financial aid process.
- Working with supervisors in complex situations regarding students/parents to create lasting relationships.
- Reviewing documents to ensure they are complete/accurate and recording data entry documenting receipt.
- Following up by phone and/or email with students/parents if any documents are not legible for scanning.
- Scanning documents and ensuring copy scanned is clear and legible before filing them into the student’s record for further processing.
- Rigorously protecting student and family’s personal identification and data and adhering to sound safety/security practices.
- Participating in meetings and training sessions.
- Committed to fostering an environment that is welcoming, inclusive, and respectful and working collaboratively in a team environment.
- Completing other duties as assigned.
CSN is a multi‑campus environment; this position may be required to occasionally work at North Las Vegas or Henderson campuses as needed.
Required QualificationsGraduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of clerical and administrative support experience, which included one or more of the following areas:
- Maintaining records and files.
- Preparing a variety of materials using a personal computer or word processor.
- Assisting customers in completing forms and applications.
- Performing secretarial duties in support of professional staff.
Alternatively, one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant I in Nevada State service, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is acceptable.
Preferred QualificationsExperience in Financial Aid or a high‑traffic Student Service area.
Weekly ScheduleMonday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Starting SalaryClassified Grade 25, Step 1 – $42,636.96

This position is contingent upon ongoing and available funding.
