Administrative Assistant III – Student Life Technology (R0150583)
UNLV invites applications for this position. The role provides high-level administrative, financial, and operational support for Student Life Technology (SLT) and Student Life Maintenance (SLM), serving as a critical liaison between senior leadership, departmental staff, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Executive Support:
    Manage complex scheduling and administrative needs for the Associate Director of SLT and provide operational support for SLM.
  • Financial Management:
    Oversee departmental accounts and travel budgets, exercise delegated expenditure authority, and manage high-volume procurement and invoice reconciliation.
  • Workforce Coordination:
    Supervise front‑desk student employees, manage the personnel lifecycle for student workers and Graduate Assistants (including I‑9 compliance), and coordinate recruitment for professional and classified staff.
  • Operations & Policy:
    Design operational workflows, author Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and resolve complex administrative issues within the Team Dynamix ticketing system.
  • Communication:
    Independently compose executive‑level correspondence and reports while managing sensitive/confidential departmental information.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High‑school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Three years of progressively responsible relevant work experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Maintenance of complex records and files.
    • Public/customer relations including explanation of detailed policies, regulations, and requirements.
    • Preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims, and budgeting forms.
    • Assisting staff and management with projects and activities.
  • OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service.
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Policy Expertise:
    Working knowledge of FERPA regulations and UNLV‑specific policies and procedures.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    Experience with Workday, Team Dynamix, or similar ticketing and human‑resources management systems.
  • Personnel

    Experience:

    Demonstrated experience processing I‑9 forms and managing student or graduate assistant employment contracts.
  • Conflict Resolution:
    Proven ability to resolve high‑level, escalated inquiries and skillfully defuse conflict with diverse stakeholders.

Salary

Grade 27, Step 1; annual base salary $46,207.44.
