Overview

The University Of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for the position of Administrative Coordinator, UNLV Student Wellness, Disability Resource Center [R0151836].

Reporting to the Associate Director of the Disability Resource Center, the Administrative Coordinator coordinates complex administrative, operational, and service-delivery functions that support equitable access for students with disabilities  role integrates accommodation coordination, student worker logistics, office operations, budgeting, and assistive technology support to ensure continuous, high-quality Disability Resource Center services.

The position collaborates with the Student Wellness Administrative Coordinator to facilitate hiring of student workers and temporary employees and ensures compliance with NSHE and UNLV policies, FERPA, and ADA standards regarding student and staff policies and procedures.

The DRC Administrative Coordinator manages furniture placement and classroom relocation to meet the needs of students with varying disabilities and assists the director and associate director with annual reports, evaluations, grants, research projects, and presentations. The coordinator is the initial point of contact for internal and external constituents and coordinates with students, parents, faculty, staff, university leadership, NSHE staff and other community partners.

The role requires handling highly confidential information and knowledge of state and federal laws such as FERPA, ADA, and 504. A professional, respectful demeanor and basic de‑escalation skills are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate administrative, operational, and service-delivery functions to support equitable access for students with disabilities at UNLV.
  • Integrate accommodation coordination, student worker logistics, office operations, budgeting, and assistive technology support.
  • Collaborate with the Student Wellness Administrative Coordinator on hiring of student workers and temporary employees.
  • Ensure compliance with NSHE and UNLV policies, FERPA, and ADA standards.
  • Manage furniture placement and classroom relocations for students with varying disabilities.
  • Assist the director and associate director with compilation, organization, editing, and production of annual reports, evaluations, grant reports, research projects, and presentations.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for internal and external stakeholders and coordinate with students, parents, faculty, staff, university leaders, NSHE staff and community partners.
  • Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate knowledge of applicable laws (FERPA, ADA, 504).
  • Communicate effectively, solve complex problems, organize and follow through on multifaceted assignments with minimal oversight; exercise strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate respect for diversity.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (or equivalent experience as outlined by UNLV).
  • Ability to work occasional evening hours.
  • Minimum of one year of work experience.
  • Credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date.

UNLV may consider additional relevant experience in place of formal education requirements, including options such as four additional years of relevant experience or combinations of degrees and experience as detailed in the posting.
