Front Office Manager
Academies of Math and Science (AMS) is a network of high-performing K–8 public charter schools committed to academic excellence, college readiness, and equitable access to high-quality education for students in historically underserved communities.
AMS is seeking a highly organized and service-oriented Front Office Manager to support daily campus operations at our Nellis, Nevada campus. This role serves as the first point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors, ensuring that the front office operates efficiently and professionally.
The Front Office Manager plays a critical role in maintaining a welcoming school environment while supporting attendance tracking, communication systems, student records, and general administrative operations.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and thrives in a fast-paced school environment while providing excellent customer service to the school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary front office representative and greet students, families, visitors, and staff in a professional and welcoming manner
- Operate a multi-line phone system and manage incoming calls, messages, and general inquiries
- Manage front-office email communication and direct inquiries appropriately
- Maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming front office environment
Attendance & Student Records
- Maintain daily student attendance records and assist with attendance reporting
- Manage student files and ensure accurate documentation and compliance with school requirements
- Support student enrollment and registration processes as needed
Administrative & Operational Support
- Coordinate scheduling, calendars, and front-office logistics
- Support campus leadership and staff with administrative documentation and forms
- Assist with preparation and logistics for school-wide events such as parent conferences, testing windows, and enrollment periods
- Maintain visitor management procedures, security logs, and building entry protocols
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute
- Ability to operate a multi-line phone system
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Microsoft 365 tools)
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced school environment
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
- Commitment to supporting students and families in diverse and underserved communities
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish-English)
- Experience working in a school, charter school network, or high-volume office environment
- Experience using student information systems (Power School, Infinite Campus, or similar platforms)
