About the Position
This position provides advanced administrative and operational support to the Las Vegas Municipal Court Marshals Administrative Department. It is an hourly position limited to 19 hours or less per week. The work shifts are Monday through Thursday, and may vary based on operation needs. Maximum hours per fiscal year are 1039 (with total contractual hours of 1560 hours in an 18 month period).
You will perform a wide range of clerical, technical, and customer service duties while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in a law enforcement environment. General responsibilities include records management, report processing, data entry, scheduling, public interaction, and coordination with department personnel and outside agencies.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment, and committed to supporting public safety operations.
Preferred experience includes:
- Knowledge of law enforcement terminology, procedures, and public records requirements.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
Provide administrative support to Marshal command staff and department personnel.
Process reports, and other official documentation.
Maintain and update confidential records and databases in accordance with department policies and legal requirements.
Respond to inquiries in person, by phone, and electronically in a professional and courteous manner.
Prepare correspondence, reports, meeting agendas, and other administrative documents.
Assist with scheduling, training coordination, and departmental events.
Manage records retention and ensure compliance with public records laws.
Coordinate with courts, allied agencies, and community partners as needed.
Perform data entry with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Assist with purchasing, inventory management, and supply coordination.
Support accreditation, compliance, and special projects as assigned.
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all aspects of the position.
Education Requirement:
- High School Diploma or GED.

Work Environment:
