Office Cleaning & Support Assistant
The Office Cleaning & Support Assistant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and appearance of the medical practice while providing operational support through inventory management, supply ordering, administrative assistance, and facility organization.
The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, professional, and committed to maintaining a healthcare environment that exceeds patient expectations and complies with OSHA, CDC, and company standards.
Cleaning & Environmental Services- Clean and disinfect patient exam rooms after each patient visit.
- Clean and sanitize waiting areas, reception, offices, conference rooms, break rooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, dust, polish, and disinfect all assigned areas.
- Clean windows, mirrors, glass doors, countertops, furniture, and high-touch surfaces.
- Empty trash, recycling, and regulated medical waste containers according to company policies.
- Maintain all areas of the office in a clean, organized, and professional condition.
- Ensure restrooms remain fully stocked and sanitized throughout the day.
- Report maintenance or repair issues promptly.
- Maintain janitorial equipment and cleaning supplies in good condition.
- Maintain the Director's office in immaculate condition at all times.
- Organize offices, storage rooms, cabinets, and supply areas.
- Prepare conference rooms for meetings and presentations.
- Assist with office organization and general administrative support.
- Scan, copy, file, and organize documents as assigned.
- Assist management with special projects and daily office needs.
- Monitor inventory levels for medical, office, and janitorial supplies.
- Order office supplies, cleaning products, administrative materials, and approved medical supplies.
- Receive, inspect, organize, and store deliveries.
- Maintain organized inventory storage areas.
- Notify management of low inventory before supplies run out.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Help maintain a welcoming, clean, and comfortable environment for patients and visitors.
- Keep the reception area organized and presentable throughout the day.
- Maintain coffee stations, refreshments, and patient amenities.
- Assist staff in maintaining a professional office appearance.
- Follow OSHA, CDC, HIPAA, and infection prevention guidelines.
- Properly handle cleaning chemicals and disinfectants.
- Follow safety procedures when handling medical waste.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Assist with office readiness for inspections and regulatory visits.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of cleaning, housekeeping, janitorial, or environmental services experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
- Experience working in a medical office, clinic, dental office, or healthcare facility.
- Knowledge of OSHA and infection control procedures.
- Inventory or supply ordering experience.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
