The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for the role of Administrative Assistant IV to support the Program Director and Associate Program Directors of the accredited Pediatrics residency program.
ROLE OF THE POSITIONThe Administrative Assistant IV plays a key leadership role, assisting in program planning, recruitment, project development, database management, and communication with faculty, residents, medical students, other specialty departments, external institutions, and the Graduate Medical Education (GME) office.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Collaborate with program leadership to assess, evaluate, and manage programmatic responsibilities.
- Support long‑term planning, recruitment, and project implementation.
- Maintain program databases and manage faculty and resident communications.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including program and faculty members, residents, medical students, sibling specialty departments, and outside institutions.
- Assist with documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements.
- High school graduation or equivalent education.
- Four years of progressively responsible relevant work experience that includes:
- Administrative or program support to professional staff and management
- Secretarial duties supporting a manager
- Coordinating communications between the manager, staff, and program clientele
- Supervision of subordinate staff
- Researching information from internal and external sources
- OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant III in Nevada State service.
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

SALARYGrade 29, Step
1. Base salary: $50,153.76. Initial appointments begin at Step 1 as per Nevada Administrative Code (NAC 284.170).
