Senior Admissions & Records Assistant – International Center
Full‑time, twelve‑month position eligible for benefits. The successful applicant will serve as a Senior Admissions & Records Assistant and the Designated School Official (DSO) for the International Center, ensuring compliance with federal immigration regulations and supporting the overall admissions process for international students.
Duties and Responsibilities- Provide guidance to students, families, and agents on immigration requirements, admission processes, and change‑of‑status procedures for ESL, degree, and pathway programs.
- Enter and maintain data in the MyCSN and Terra Dotta ISSS student systems, identify anomalies, correct errors, and manage data reporting.
- Support immigration reporting, manage holds, oversee the departmental admissions email account, verify health insurance, generate audits, and compile annual international student admissions data.
- Prepare Workday requisitions, PCard payments, supply orders, print requests, invoices, and assist with agents’ commissions and office debts.
- Demonstrated experience serving diverse students with sensitivity to cultural differences.
- Knowledge of application processes in relation to immigration regulations.
- Familiarity with Student Affairs services, including front desk duties.
- Experience with HIPAA, FERPA, or comparable federal, state, or local mandates.
- Ability to screen calls, evaluate relative importance, and refer to appropriate staff or department.
- Knowledge of office budget management and accounting activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey regulatory requirements to diverse audiences.
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and at least three years of clerical experience, two of which in a college admissions and/or records office or relevant student services area. Alternatively, one year of experience as an Admissions & Records Assistant II in Nevada State service, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with higher education policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of federal regulations and international affairs.
- Familiarity with the admissions process for new students.
- Experience working with student populations.
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Starting SalaryGrade 27, Step 1 – $46,207.44 (contingent upon ongoing funding)
