Role OverviewThe Administrative Assistant will support the Director of Talent Acquisition and Onboarding and the HR staff. The position provides high‑level administrative assistance, acts as a liaison among staff and external partners, coordinates the Director’s schedule, and performs clerical duties such as preparing correspondence, scheduling meetings, managing Workday recruitment and onboarding processes, and supporting confidential information requests.
Key Responsibilities- Work independently to assist the Director by providing administrative support and resolving questions and issues.
- Act as an administrative liaison with departmental assistants, managers, and representatives of other organizations.
- Coordinate and plan the Director’s schedule and appointments related to HR.
- Conduct research, prepare reports, and handle confidential information requests.
- Perform clerical functions including preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, scheduling meetings, and purchasing transactions.
- Support Workday recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Serve as a gatekeeper, escalating relevant information to the Director as needed.
- High‑school graduation or equivalent education.
- Four years of progressively responsible relevant work experience in one or more areas: administrative/program support to professional staff and management, secretarial duties supporting a manager, coordinating communications, supervising subordinate staff, or researching information from internal and external sources.
- OR one year as an Administrative Assistant III in Nevada State service.
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
- Experience in human resources or working within an HR department.
- Experience with Workday HCM processes (hiring, onboarding, running reports).
- Experience in the academic healthcare space.
- Experience in higher education.
Grade 29, Step 1 – salary $50,153.76 per year.
