Job Description
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas, invites applications for Business Operations Coordinator [R0151147].
Reporting to the Associate Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education & High-Impact Practices (AVPUEHIP) with a dotted line to the Director of Career Services and Workforce Development, the Business Operations Coordinator provides comprehensive executive administrative support and office management to the AVP, the Director, and the Office of Career Services and Workforce Development. The Coordinator oversees day-to-day office administrative operations and front desk activities, and delivers high-level administrative support to the AVP and Director.
The role requires a collegial, responsive, skilled communicator who is detail-oriented, organized, adept at multitasking, and prioritizes strategically. The Coordinator evaluates, coordinates, and problem-solves situations, events, interpersonal matters, and projects to ensure smooth, ethical, and professional functioning of the offices.
Key responsibilities include independent judgment and initiative to lead executive-level support; manage communications, scheduling, meeting preparations, event and conference design, organization and execution; information management; and administrative operations. The Coordinator also handles office operations such as front desk management, student worker management, inventory control, facility management, procurement, and budget/finance oversight. Additionally, the role supports personnel management and human resources activities, including HR procedures for supplemental pay, position management, search management, and workday processing.
The Coordinator facilitates event coordination and execution, ensuring preparations are planned, vetted, contracted, and completed successfully, and provides leadership to team members involved in event activities.

Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 3-5 years of related professional experience.
- Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Experience with UNLV policies and procedures.
- Experience with university financial, human resources, and student information systems.
