The Senior Admissions & Records Assistant in the International Center is a full-time, on-site role based in Las Vegas, NV. This position supports international student admissions and records processing, including receiving, reviewing, and accurately entering student applications and supporting documents into institutional systems. The role involves maintaining and updating student records, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and coordinating with staff and faculty to resolve record-related issues.
The assistant responds to inquiries from prospective and current international students, provides clear information about admissions and registration processes, and offers front-line customer service at the International Center. Daily tasks also include preparing and organizing documents, generating reports, assisting with term-based registration activities, and contributing to continuous process improvements within the admissions and records function.
- Candidates should possess strong Records Management and Document Management skills, including accurate data entry, organization, and maintenance of student files.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication and Customer Service skills to support and guide international students and collaborate with campus stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess solid Clerical Skills, such as filing, scheduling, handling correspondence, and operating office software and equipment.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with student information systems, databases, and standard office applications (e.g., MS Office, email, spreadsheets).
- Candidates should possess knowledge of admissions and registration processes; experience with international student services or higher education environments is preferred.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to handle confidential information in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent; postsecondary coursework or a degree in a related field (e.g., administration, education, business) is beneficial.
