The award-winning Las Vegas-Clark County Library District is currently hiring for an Grants Support Specialist with the Business Strategies and Planning Department.
General Summary:
Under the supervision of the Business Strategies and Planning Director, the Grants Support Specialist participates in administrative and operational activities in the Business Strategies and Planning Department. This position provides support for grant development, research coordination, document management, and planning-related activities that contribute to the Library District’s strategic initiatives. Responsibilities include assisting with grant research and tracking, maintaining organized records and systems, supporting planning and reporting efforts, and coordinating administrative functions that support both grant operations and departmental planning initiatives.
The Grants Support Specialist works closely with the Grants Coordinator and Business Strategies and Planning Director to support efficient workflows, ensure accurate documentation, and assist with the coordination of grant and planning processes across the organization.
Description of hours and wages:
The pay range for this position is $30.28 to $40.57 per hour. Pay typically begins at the minimum of the pay range, and employees are eligible for annual merit and COLA increases per District policy.
This is a part-time (19 hours per week), FLSA non-exempt position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provides administrative and operational support for day-to-day grant-related and planning activities, including conducting primarily research, preparing draft reports, scheduling meetings, and maintaining calendars.
2. Assists with maintaining grant and donor databases, including data entry, record updates, document tracking, mailing correspondence, and ensuring accuracy of information.
3. Assists in researching local, state, federal, private, and corporate funding sources, including reviewing materials, listservs, and correspondence, and preparing summaries for review.
4. Maintains organized grant files and documentation systems, ensuring proper filing, naming conventions, and accessibility of records.
5. Assists with tracking grant deadlines, reporting requirements, and deliverables, and supports follow-up with internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
6. Provides support for the preparation and organization of grant-related materials, including formatting, proofreading, compiling attachments, and maintaining supporting documentation.
7. Coordinates and supports grant-related meetings and planning sessions by preparing agendas, organizing materials, and assisting with meeting logistics.
8. Assists in maintaining internal processes, forms, and tracking systems that support grant intake, application coordination, reporting, and compliance.
9. Provides administrative support for departmental planning activities, including assisting with data collection, compiling reports, organizing planning documents, and supporting strategic initiatives tracking.
10. Assists in preparing internal reports, summaries, and documentation that support planning performance tracking, and departmental reporting efforts.
11. Supports coordination and communication across departments to gather information related to grant activities, planning initiatives, and reporting needs.
12. Performs general administrative duties in support of the Business Strategies and Planning Director, including correspondence, document management, and clerical functions.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.
