Role of the Position
100% in-person at the UNLV Maryland campus. Provide comprehensive administrative support to faculty in the College of Sciences, including grant‑related finance and HR tasks, expense reconciliation, budget reviews and amendments, hiring of temporary employees, and preparation of visa documentation for foreign researchers. Act as Office Manager and liaison for temporary units, ensuring business processes are completed within established guidelines. Facilitate communication among college and university stakeholders and analyze data to prepare reports on enrollment and financial trends.
Train staff and assist in purchasing and accounting processes, ensuring compliance with UNLV Purchasing and Accounts Payable guidelines.
High school graduation or equivalent and four years of progressively responsible relevant work experience, such as: administrative support to professional staff, secretarial duties, coordination of communications, supervision of subordinate staff, or research of internal and external information. Alternatively, one year as an Administrative Assistant III in Nevada State service or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications- Prior experience in higher education
- Strong multitasking abilities in a fast‑paced environment
- Experience with Workday, People Soft, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, project management and ability to learn new software systems
- Supervisory experience

SalaryGrade 29, Step 1 – $50,153.76.
