Administrative Secretary II
The Administrative Secretary II position is critical to the efficient operation of the Board Office by providing high-level administrative and secretarial support for the Board of School Trustees and executive leadership. This position is responsible for coordinating Board agenda materials, preparing reports and correspondence, maintaining confidential records, and ensuring compliance with the Nevada Open Meeting Law, Board Governance Policies, and District procedures.
The incumbent serves as a point of contact for trustees, District departments, governmental agencies, and the public, requiring exceptional professionalism, discretion, and customer service. The position supports the coordination of Board meetings, tracks multiple deadlines, researches and compiles information, and manages complex administrative processes that directly impact Board operations.
Position Requirements Education, Training, and Experience
1. High school graduation or other equivalent (General Educational Development [GED], foreign equivalency, etc.). 2. Four (4) years' secretarial/clerical experience with public contact.
Licenses and Certifications Applicant/Employee must be able to provide their own transportation.
Preferred Qualifications Ability to take dictation (shorthand, speed writing, stenography, Dictaphone, etc.) and transcribe recordings at a minimum of 80 words per minute.
