Job DescriptionPLEASE NOTE Only students who have completed this year’s FAFSA and accepted the Student Employment Award in their Financial Aid Package are eligible to apply.
The Office of Institutional Research and Data Analytics provides data, analysis, and strategic guidance in support of CSN’s student success goals. By supporting CSN faculty and staff with accurate and timely data and analysis, the CSN IR office ensures that planning and evaluation are based on measurable results that can be tracked over time.
Duties- Data Entry:
Prepare data sets by copying data from various sources (i.e. Internal Data Sets, External Data sets such as US Census Webpage) and entering them into spreadsheets or data platforms used by IR - Dashboard Maintenance:
Light editing of Data Dashboards to ensure consistency of style, language, and accuracy. - Organize shared drive:
Assist Director and Administrative Assistant in organizing Shared Data drive, by renaming files and folders to conform to IR conventions - Our services benefit: CSN students and staff
- Work Experience in our Department supports the following Degree/Certificate Programs:
Associate Of Business, Business Management, Computing and Information Technology (CIT), and Mathematics
- Be friendly, outgoing, and willing to learn
- Have a good understanding of diverse multicultural environments
- Be able to follow directions and communicate effectively
- Have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (preferably Microsoft Excel)
- Be punctual, reliable, and trustworthy

- Proof you’ve received the Student Employment Award. You may provide either: A copy of your latest CSN Award Notification showing the Student Employment Award. This can be found in your CSN email or in your MyCSN Communication Center OR A screenshot of your accepted award for the appropriate semester from the View/Accept Financial Aid screen in your MyCSN
- Show a financial aid eligible major (degree or certificate program) declared with the CSN Office of the Registrar.
- Meet Financial Aid Satisfactory Progress after each semester/term to qualify for employment within the academic year.
- Show degree compliant enrollment for each semester/term for which funding is desired.
- Be enrolled in at least 6 credits and meet additional eligibility requirements of the Silver State Regents Service Program for summer semester/term employment.
- * Student’s cannot work another part‑time position within NSHE at the same time they are employed as a CSN College Work Study student.

This position may require that a criminal background check be conducted on the candidate(s) selected for hire. As part of the hiring process, applicants for positions in the Nevada System of Higher Education may be required to demonstrate the ability to perform job‑related tasks. Schedules are subject to change based on organizational needs.
