Job Description The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Equal Employment and Title IX Analyst, UNLV Office of Equal Employment and Title IX.ROLE of the POSITION,theThe Analyst for the Office of Equal Employment and Title IX serves as the primary liaison and initial point of contact for individuals reporting concerns of discrimination, discriminatory harassment, and retaliation, or seeking supportive resources.
Acting under the supervision of the Director, the Analyst plays a vital operational role by conducting detailed intakes, administering supportive measures, coordinating case documentation, and providing comprehensive support to office investigators and administrators.
1. Intake, Assessment & Case Management Conduct Intakes:
Serve as the primary point of contact to interview individuals bringing forward concerns, gathering detailed, relevant information in a sensitive and effective manner.
Documentation & Jurisdictional Review:
Prepare timely, clear, and cogent intake summaries to assist the Director in determining jurisdictional coverage and proper case assignment.
Closure & Referrals:
Draft formal closure documentation for non-jurisdictional matters and facilitate appropriate referrals to other UNLV departments or campus resources.
Recordkeeping:
Maintain complete, organized, and up-to-date documentation and correspondence within Maxient (the office’s case management system) throughout the lifespan of a case.
2. Supportive & Interim Remedial Measures Subject Matter Expertise:
Serve as a subject matter expert on all available campus resources, supportive measures, and interim remedies for both complainants and respondents.
Administration & Coordination:
Under the Director’s guidance, draft and oversee no-contact orders, coordinate academic accommodation requests with faculty and administrators, and actively connect constituents with needed campus partners.
Tracking:
Maintain detailed records of all supportive measure interactions and administrative actions within Maxient.
3. Specialized Compliance & Operational Support Triage & Initial Review:
Conduct initial reviews of incoming NAVEX / Ethics Point reports, collaborating with the Director on jurisdictional referrals, intake scheduling, or immediate investigative assignment.
External Agency Responses:
Gather relevant documentation and assist colleagues in responding to charges, complaints, or information requests from external agencies (EEOC, NERC, U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights).Data & Public Records Requests:
Partner with the Director to gather internal data for public records requests, reporting mandates, and institutional metrics.
Search Approvals & Master Database:
Track search waivers and "EEO Search Requests to Proceed" from Human Resources to ensure timely processing. Assist the Administrative Assistant in keeping the office master database updated.
Investigative Support:
Serve as a third-party note-taker during complex or sensitive investigative interviews and draft consolidated summaries for investigators.
Administrative Backup:
Provide coverage for the main phone line and assist walk-in visitors during the Administrative Assistant’s absence.
Other Duties:
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
