Librarian Assistant - Las Vegas

We are hiring a detail-oriented and organized Librarian Assistant to join our library team in Las Vegas.

As a Librarian Assistant you will be responsible for assisting the Head Librarian with day-to-day tasks and providing excellent customer service to library patrons.

• Assist the Head Librarian in managing the librarys collection and resources
• Help patrons locate and check out books DVDs and other materials
• Answer questions and provide information on library services and resources
• Manage the circulation desk including checking items inout collecting fines and issuing library cards
• Process new materials for circulation into the librarys collection
• Shelve and organize returned materials
• Assist with special projects and events such as book clubs or storytime sessions
• Maintain order and cleanliness in the library
• Provide support for computer use and printing services

• Bachelors degree in Library Science or related field preferred
• Experience working in a library setting is a plus
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to work well with diverse groups of people
• Familiarity with computer systems used in libraries
• Proficient in English language fluency in other languages is a plus
• Ability to work full-time without accommodation
• Must have authorization to work in the United States

This is a full-time position with a salary of $1000 per month.
