The Supply Chain team is a vital part of our organization dedicated to ensuring customer demand is met with precision and reliability while maintaining optimal inventory levels to minimize holding costs. This balance is achieved through proactive demand planning, strategic sourcing, and detailed analysis.
In this highly detailed and fast-moving environment team members rely on accuracy, analytical thinking, and attention to detail to ensure product components are purchased in the correct quantities at the correct time. Each person plays a critical role in collaborating with Engineering, Product Management, Sales, and Financial Planning & Analysis to support product sales and new product launches while ensuring supply chain decisions align with broader business objectives.
Through cross-functional collaboration and data-driven decision-making, the Supply Chain team delivers value by reducing excess inventory, improving cash flow, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Job SummaryAs a Buyer I, you will play a critical role in ensuring our gaming machines and related merchandise are built with precision and delivered on time. You will be responsible for the procurement of raw materials, electronic components, and sub-assemblies. This role requires a blend of analytical thinking, attention to detail, strong communications skills, and solid negotiation expertise to manage a complex supply chain in a highly regulated industry.
This position partners closely with Sales, Product Management, and Operations teams to ensure timely product availability. You will contribute to continuous improvement in the forecasting process and assist with cross-functional alignment to support the scalability of Bluberi’s supply chain as the company grows.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Procurement Operations:
Execute purchase orders for electronic components (PCBs, monitors, wire harnesses, etc.) and mechanical parts based on MRP requirements. Track and manage expected delivery dates to ensure material arrives in time for scheduled production and customer shipments. Provide clear and timely communication when unexpected issues occur. Monitor shortage reports and react appropriately. - Supplier Management:
Maintain relationships with existing vendors and assist in the evaluation of new suppliers to ensure quality and cost-efficiency. - Inventory Control:
Monitor stock levels to prevent production line stoppages while minimizing "excess and obsolete" (E&O) inventory. Analyse and adjust safety stock levels to satisfy changing business needs. - Cost Savings:
Identify opportunities for cost reductions through volume pricing, alternative sourcing, or contract negotiations. - Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Engineering and Product Management for new product introductions (NPI). - Process Improvement:
Support continuous improvement initiatives in forecasting, demand planning processes, systems, and tools. Assist in implementing forecasting software enhancements or ERP integrations.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience. Experience in the gaming, electronics, or casino equipment industry is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent). Experience with Net Suite is a strong plus.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; experience with forecasting tools or BI software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) preferred.
- Strong understanding of forecasting methodologies and inventory management principles.
- Demonstrated ability to understand Bill of Materials.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive, collaborative approach.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming License, if necessary.
- Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certifications can enhance qualifications.
