Position Overview:
The Superintendent is a key leadership role within our organization, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This position requires a combination of strong leadership, in-depth knowledge of construction practices, and exceptional problem-solving skills to manage multiple teams, coordinate resources, and ensure adherence to all regulations.
The Superintendent will work closely with the Project Management Team, Operational Support Team, and Other Division Superintendents to ensure smooth project execution, troubleshoot issues on-site, and maintain a high level of communication with stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role in an innovative company, while contributing to the successful completion of high-impact projects in the utilities and infrastructure sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise Construction crews, ensuring productivity, safety, and quality of work.
- Work efficiently ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the project team, subcontractors, and senior management, and others.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure that all work meets the required standards and specifications. Maintain compliance with environmental and sustainability requirements.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure all field personnel are receiving appropriate training and development.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in construction, with at least 5 years in leadership or supervisory role, and preferably 2 years at the Foremen or Superintendent level.
- Strong knowledge of underground utilities processes, paving and concrete processes, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make decisions that affect the outcome of construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction software and project management tools.
