Estimator for Mechanical Construction Company

Salary: $26 - $40 per hour. This position is located in the Las Vegas area.

Nationwide HVAC contractor with over 50 years in business, seeking an Estimator with HVAC project estimating experience.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Estimator to join our team in the construction industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional who is ready to take on the challenge of providing accurate and competitive cost estimates for our construction projects. You will work closely with our team of engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Minimum 5+ years of experience in the industry.

• Review and understand the scope of construction projects to provide accurate cost estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to gather all necessary information for the estimation process.
• Evaluate and analyze data from past projects to predict future costs.
• Prepare detailed project bids and present them to clients and stakeholders.
• Utilize cost management tools and software to maintain accurate records of estimates and bids.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments to ensure estimates remain competitive.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on cost status of ongoing projects.
• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and suggest strategies for cost optimization.
• Assist in negotiation of contracts and bids to ensure best possible outcome for the company.
• Provide support and guidance to junior estimators and other team members as needed.

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in project estimation and cost management.
• Proven experience in construction estimating and project bidding.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in using cost estimation and project management software.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
• A keen eye for detail and strong commitment to accuracy.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Professional certification in cost estimation or project management is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically and make sound decisions under pressure.
