Responsibilities and Duties
  • Assists in the preparation of accurate, competitive construction bids by utilizing the latest state‑of‑the‑art equipment.
  • Directly contributes to the success of the company by working with the Estimating Team and Management to build and sustain relationships with clients.
  • Works closely with the department to maintain estimating data, establish and maintain standardized estimating practices, and foster a solid team approach within the department.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Meets one of the following education requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in a construction or engineering related discipline, OR
    • At least five years of sheet metal construction field trade experience/training/education, OR
    • Equivalent combination of the above.
  • Experience: Must have a minimum of 5 years of sheet metal construction estimating related work experience on large HVAC construction projects (non‑residential).
  • Experience with computerized estimating programs required.
  • Able to comprehend applicable construction documents.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Work well in team atmosphere.
  • Computer

    Skills:

    Accurate typing skills and proficient with computer, specifically Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), plus Outlook, Windows, and Internet. Must be able to quickly learn new software.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily pass a motor vehicle record check. Must be able to meet P1 qualifications to operate a vehicle on company business. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must have access to drive a well‑maintained vehicle. Must have up‑to‑date registration with the local Department of Motor Vehicles. Both the candidate and the vehicle must be currently covered on a personal insurance policy.
