Job OverviewTaylor International Corp is hiring a detail‑oriented and experienced QA/QC Superintendent to lead quality control efforts on commercial, industrial, and federal construction sites. As the on‑site authority for quality assurance, you will review all construction work against drawings and specifications, verify subcontractor performance, and ensure that the highest standards of workmanship are met. This role is suitable for a construction professional with an eye for detail and a deep understanding of field operations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct on‑site inspections to verify work aligns with construction drawings, specifications, and approved submittals.
- Monitor subcontractor workmanship and ensure compliance with project standards and client expectations.
- Document quality control observations and deficiencies through detailed reports and daily logs.
- Lead quality assurance efforts from pre‑construction through project completion.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Field Superintendents, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues in real time.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry codes, standards, and client‑specific requirements.
- Assist in developing and enforcing quality assurance checklists, punch lists, and close‑out documentation.
- Serve as the quality advocate on site, holding all trades accountable to performance expectations.
- Assist in developing and implementing logistics plans.
- Maintain and update the subcontractor database.
- 10+ years of experience in commercial, industrial, or government construction roles with a strong focus on quality control.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Deep knowledge of field operations and construction practices across multiple trades.
- Strong communication and documentation skills; able to professionally interact with owners and subcontractors.
- Proficiency in construction software tools and Microsoft Office Suite;
Autodesk Build experience is a plus. - High attention to detail and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
