Job Description
We are seeking a Traveling Superintendent to lead on‑site construction operations for industrial and process plant projects throughout the Western U.S. This role is responsible for overseeing all field activities, coordinating multi‑trade construction teams, maintaining project safety, and ensuring successful execution of complex industrial projects involving civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical scopes.
Work Environment- Fully onsite role supporting active industrial construction projects
- Initial project located in Northern Nevada with travel throughout the Western U.S.
- Typical schedule of 50–60 hours per week with paid overtime
- Fast‑paced, field‑driven environment requiring hands‑on leadership
- Reports directly to the Project Manager / Senior Project Manager

- Lead all day‑to‑day field operations on industrial construction projects
- Manage and coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical trades
- Conduct toolbox talks, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and enforce site safety protocols including LOTO procedures
- Coordinate daily work activities with field crews, subcontractors, and client representatives
- Develop and maintain 3‑week look‑ahead schedules and track project progress
- Monitor productivity, labor tracking, cost codes, and field production metrics
- Manage project documentation including RFIs, CORs, submittals, redlines, and daily reports
- Identify and resolve field issues while maintaining project schedule and quality standards
- Lead jobsite meetings and ensure accountability across all project stakeholders
- Maintain ongoing communication regarding project status, risks, and schedule updates
- Experience as a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or Senior Craft Superintendent
- Experience in mining, heavy industrial, manufacturing, energy, or process plant construction
- Experience managing multi‑trade construction projects in industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical construction scopes
- Experience with RFIs, CORs, submittals, production tracking, and field documentation processes
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents
- Experience with project scheduling tools and Excel‑based scheduling methods
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
- Familiarity with P6, Planera, or similar scheduling software
- Experience with Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy Job, SharePoint, and Dropbox
- MSHA certification or mining project experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Experience working in fast‑paced industrial construction environments with multiple active work fronts
The pay range for this position is $42.00 – $47.00 per hour. Eligible benefits for this temporary role may include:
