Construction Inspector

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Construction Inspector to join our team. In this role you will inspect various projects on a significant Water/Wastewater Project in Southern Nevada.

• Installation of mechanical equipment, associated piping, power, controls and instrumentation.
• Building and facility construction and associated site development.
• Daily reporting and filing through written reports, project photographs, etc. to convey a clear understanding of project happenings.
• Installation on temporary and permanent signs and delineation.

• 2‑year degree in a technical discipline or construction‑related field, or a high school diploma and equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of field project experience and formal certification from an independent organization, depending on type of inspection assignment.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications and be thoroughly familiar with construction processes related to the area of assignment.
• Knowledge of English grammar and composition, with clear written and oral communication skills.
• Capability to perform mathematical calculations for engineering calculations, graphs and charts.
• Proficiency with basic computer usage, Microsoft Office, project management software and internet search engines.
• Compliance with project requirements based on client and industry standards.
• Understanding of scheduling, and the ability to review progress pay estimates and extra work bills.
• Recognition of hazardous work conditions and appropriate action when necessary.
• Good judgment and teamwork.
• Ability to climb ladders, inspect work above ground, and work in confined spaces. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Previous experience on a similar project.
• Some knowledge of public works contracts.
• Construction safety training such as OSHA 10‑hour minimum or 30‑hour preferred.

Salary Range: $42.50 - $74.38
