The Construction Manager is primarily responsible for leading field construction activities for data center development projects, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract documents, quality standards, and project schedules. This role provides leadership and oversight throughout all phases of construction, with a strong emphasis on tenant improvement (TI), adaptive reuse, and mission‑critical facility construction. The Construction Manager works closely with the Owner, General Contractor, subcontractors, architects, engineers, consultants, and vendors to coordinate daily field operations and ensure successful project execution.

Stakeholder Relations- Foster collaborative relationships with Owners, General Contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, consultants, commissioning teams, and other project stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective communication between all project participants to proactively resolve issues and maintain alignment on project objectives.
- Participate in owner, contractor, and coordination meetings to review project progress, schedule, quality, safety, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Provide day‑to‑day oversight of field construction activities from pre‑construction through project closeout.
- Manage tenant improvement (TI), renovation, and adaptive reuse projects involving the conversion of existing facilities into mission‑critical data centers.
- Oversee structural modifications, architectural build‑outs, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), HVAC, fire protection, and specialty systems installation.
- Coordinate installation of critical infrastructure including electrical distribution systems, backup power systems, cooling systems, containment solutions, and supporting building systems.
- Review contractor work plans, construction schedules, logistics plans, means and methods, and manpower allocations.
- Participate in pull planning and short‑term look‑ahead scheduling meetings to ensure efficient sequencing of work.
- Monitor contractor productivity, schedule performance, and resource utilization while identifying and mitigating potential delays.
- Ensure construction activities comply with contract requirements, project specifications, building codes, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Manage project documentation including drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, transmittals, change orders, permits, inspection reports, and meeting minutes.
- Review design revisions and coordinate implementation with contractors and design consultants.
- Maintain accurate field documentation to support schedule updates, issue resolution, and change management.
- Utilize construction management software to track project documentation, progress, and reporting.
- Verify construction activities are performed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate quality inspections, factory acceptance testing (where applicable), field testing, and third‑party inspections.
- Monitor contractor quality control programs and ensure deficiencies are corrected in a timely manner.
- Conduct routine field inspections to verify workmanship and installation quality across architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical scopes.
- Support equipment installation verification, pre‑functional inspections, and system readiness for commissioning.
