JOB SUMMARY
Assist in the administration of project safety program to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A working knowledge of occupational safety at a level normally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree in occupational safety/health or equivalent experience such as a minimum of 4 years in construction working as a safety professional.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Thorough understanding of all federal, state, and local company safety related regulations;
Stay up to date on new or changes to regulations and best practices. Promote a positive safety culture in a professional manner among site supervision and workers. Assist site supervision in identifying, documenting, and determining resolutions to hazardous and potentially hazardous and/or unsafe working conditions and behaviors. Assist in supervision and administration of safety, compliance, and training activities. Observe and provide coaching to workers and field supervision in safe and best practices.
Assist in completion of and/or review completed JHA's, Permits, Emergency Action Plans, MOP's, SOP's and other proactive safety related documentation. Conduct visual and documented safety inspections and audits using a cloud-based document control program; tracking open items and following up to ensure abatement. Provide and coordinate safety training as required including but limited to New Hire Orientation, Fall Protection, Confined Space, Excavation Training, Toolbox talks and Safety Stand Up topics.
Visually inspect and document safety equipment inspections. Manage safety related documents through company and client databases. Respond to, investigate, and provide detailed reports for any safety issue/incident that may occur. Including compiling data, photographs etc. Competent to conduct reclassification and various industrial hygiene samplings, such as gas, 02, noise test to ensure safe working conditions when required. Assist in emergencies as required.
Required to drive and maintain valid driver license. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Background check, credit check, MVR and drug screen may be required (will vary by position). Must have OSHA 500 minimum, CHST and/or SMS
