A growing construction company specializing in drywall, metal framing, commercial interiors, and finishing services. Are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Drywall & Framing Estimator to join our team. Experience with painting estimates is highly desirable and will be considered a strong asset.

Position Summary

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for drywall, steel stud framing, insulation, acoustical ceilings, and related construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, vendors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure timely and profitable project bids.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs for drywall, framing, insulation, ceilings, and related scopes.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
  • Solicit and evaluate supplier and subcontractor pricing.
  • Analyze project risks and identify value engineering opportunities.
  • Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information.
  • Collaborate with project management teams during project handover.
  • Provide painting and finishing estimates when required.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ years of estimating experience in drywall and framing construction.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and residential drywall systems, metal stud framing, and finishing practices.
  • Experience preparing painting estimates is preferred.
  • Proficient with estimating software, Bluebeam, Planswift, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and labor costs.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
