Job Overview
As a Front Desk Associate - Part Time, you’ll be responsible for assisting residents by providing information and services as needed. This role requires someone who is self‑motivated, outgoing, detail‑oriented and has great communication skills while having excellent organizational skills.
Compensation$16–$18 per hour.
Your Responsibilities- Demonstrate excellent customer service.
- Meet and greet residents and check guests and service providers in and out.
- Identify and clarify residents’ needs and desires; answer questions, give directions and instructions, and develop inventories of services.
- Work independently and without direct supervision.
- Maintain guest privacy and the organization’s reputation by keeping information confidential.
- Respond to emergency situations in a timely and efficient manner.
- Monitor and screen messages.
- Control access for authorized vendors to provide services within units of the building.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and maintaining personal networks.
- Enhance department and organizational reputation by accepting and accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Maintain daily logs, records, and forms.
- Resolve and follow up on all complaints/issues.
- May be assigned other duties by the on‑site property manager.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer abilities (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Multiple language fluency desirable.
- Knowledge of emergency response and access control procedures, electronic security control systems, and logs, records, and forms for the property.
- Ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms.
- Ability to navigate the property/building quickly and easily as required to meet the job functions.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Work well under pressure and deadlines, and work independently and prioritize time effectively.
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems creatively.
- Ability to solve an array of personnel and customer‑related problems with the result of positive resident and guest experience.
- At least one year’s experience in an office environment. Front desk experience preferred with customer service experience.
- Finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard.
- Ability to hear to place and receive telephone calls.
- Mobile enough to move around the office to make copies, distribute mail, etc.
- Ability to lift 35 lbs.
