Account Manager I - Mid to Late-Stage Collections

Job HighlightsIn-office position. Candidates must live within commutable distance of the Las Vegas office.
Compensation- Base Pay: $17.28 per hour plus bonus potential based on individual and team performance.
- Incentive:
If the department exceeds its goal, eligible agents may receive an additional amount ranging from $100 to $750 based on goal achievement. Incentive opportunities may vary monthly and are not guaranteed.
This role assists customers in various stages of collections, using technology and resources to resolve accounts starting at 31+ days past due, thereby preventing loan losses through progressive collection efforts.
Duties, Tasks, Responsibilities- Assist in servicing inbound and outbound calls while demonstrating excellent customer service and adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Initiate outbound calls that result in successful payment or timely arrangements to satisfy account delinquency.
- Negotiate account payment solutions while maintaining company performance and productivity standards.
- Maintain accurate notes and records of all communication and actions on customer accounts.
- Engage in active listening to communicate effectively with management, teammates, customers, and to resolve concerns and complaints.
- Conduct skip‑tracing activity to generate potential leads on customer or collateral.
- Review and submit accounts for repossession activity based on mitigating factors.
- Accountably reduce delinquency within the department.
- Ensure confidentiality of all aspects of the company’s operations, portfolio, customer information, and technology.
- Meet quality assurance and productivity standards.
- Handle a high volume of calls in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Willing and able to work a flexible schedule including overtime and weekends.
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Extensive knowledge of state and federal laws applicable to collections, including the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act.
- Good computer and typing skills.
- Team player.
- Good telephone etiquette.
- General knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Web navigation and/or web‑based applications.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience- Minimum one‑year consumer collection experience in a high‑call‑volume auto dialer environment.
- General knowledge of collection and repossession.
- Auto collection experience preferred.
